Wineries, restaurants, clubs, chapels, and barns - you name it, the Sunshine Coast has a wedding venue to suit you. It’s impossible to include every venue in this beautiful area, but I would love to highlight a small selection.
In my time as a celebrant so far, I've been so lucky to perform ceremonies at some fantastic venues. So here goes; a list of places I've worked at and where I would love to perform ceremonies in the future.
Sunshine Coast Surf Clubs
Surf Clubs are a great option, as couples often choose to get married on or close to the beach and then have the reception in the club. There is usually a grassy area allocated for ceremonies at the front of the building, and many clubs offer elegant function spaces that can be tailored to accommodate various wedding styles and sizes for receptions. Kawana Surf Club, Sunshine Coast Surf Life Saving Club and Coolum Surf Club are great options, with the natural beauty of a beachfront setting and Headland lookouts not far away for photos.
Hinterlands Wedding Venues
If you are ever on the Sunshine Coast, you must check out the Hinterlands. The Maleny Wedding Festival Trail is a perfect way to explore wedding venues; all set up so you can envision your day. From romantic and elegant wineries to rustic and enchanting barns, the Hinterlands offers unique wedding venues with lush green landscapes and stunning views.
Popular spots include the Old Dairy Maleny and Goodwater Ridge, with purpose-built structures set amidst sprawling countryside landscapes. The Hinterlands also boasts several picturesque wineries that offer a romantic and elegant setting for weddings. Couples can exchange their vows amidst the rows of grapevines, followed by a reception in the winery's rustic or modern event spaces. Some popular wineries on the Sunshine Coast include Flame Hill Vineyard and Maleny Manor.
For the foodies
For couples seeking a reception with yummy food, the Sunshine Coast boasts numerous restaurants with exceptional culinary offerings. I’ve noted a few places to showcase the wide variety we have on the Sunshine Coast:

There is a wealth of options to suit your preferences, style, and budget. As the cost of living continues to be an issue for most people around the country, try opting for a mid-week wedding or off-peak times, to help ease the financial stress.
With its breathtaking landscapes and superb venues, the Sunshine Coast is undoubtedly a dream destination for couples embarking on their lifelong journey together.
